Disney announces Toy Story 5, Frozen 3 and Zootropolis 2
Deadline reports that Bob Iger has announced sequels to Toy Story, Frozen and Zootropolis. The three franchises are among the group’s most successful animation series. Frozen 2 is even that, with worldwide grossing of $1.45 billion second highest grossing animated film of all time. Zootropolis is another Disney animated film that has grossed over $1 billion worldwide.
Otherwise, the Disney call was not so rosy. According to the deadline, the company plans cost savings of 5.5 billion dollars, which will lead to the elimination of 7,000 jobs. The announcement of Toy Story 5, Frozen 3 and Zootropolis 2 should therefore be safe for guaranteed hits worried when you look at the success of previous installments of these animated franchises.
