FromSoftware has given in the difficulty has been reduced

It only took a few days, some 20,000 negative comments on Steam and videos from the press for FromSoftware to finally give in. The Japanese studio has informed us that an update (the 1.12.2) to reduce the difficulty of its DLC “Shadow of the Erdtree”. To make the game more accessible, or less abusive in boss patterns, FromSoftware has made some readjustments.has Blessing of the Occult Tree has been modified for example, notably in its attack and damage effects which have been increased for the first 10 levels, while the second half will be done in stages, in a more progressive manner. You will have understood, this will not change much in the difficulty of the game, since the problematic bosses have kept their aggression and their patterns, and that is clearly what the players were pointing the finger at. Again, Miyazaki doesn’t seem ready to go astray for 20,000 disgruntled people just yet, but he nonetheless showed he’s taking a step toward community.

However, this patch corrects a technical bug, the one which automatically activated Ray-Tracing by default, which could cause serious slowdowns in the game, especially for people who are not necessarily equipped for such technical characteristics. To remove this option, nothing could be simpler, just go to the “System” settings, then “Graphics Settings”, then “Ray-Tracing Quality” and activate or not the option. More fixes are expected to come soon, but for now, that’s all that’s available to players.
