The club originated from a group of people who had been playing spikeball together on a loose basis for some time in Utrecht. About a year and a half ago they came up with the idea of organizing the meetings in a more structured way and thus “hyping up” the game more, says Ilonka. This is how the game had to come to the attention of more people. And that turned out to work, says Micha. “We used to play with four, six at the most, but now we often have groups of 20 or 25 people.”
