The speed camera is located at the beginning of the bend near the Lage Dijk. Drivers there often drive too fast, according to the province and the police. Because the bend is long and it can be crowded, that would be a big risk. To make the situation safer, the province, municipality and police asked the Public Prosecution Service (OM) to install the pole. The speed camera has been there for a while and has been tested recently.
