The electoral promise to never form part of a government with the Social Democrats has been broken by liberal Venstre. Now Denmark’s two major parties in power will form a cross-block government together with the new Moderate party.
The new government has already agreed on a few things: a tax on the very rich, increased defense funding and more money for public sector wages.
– That is what Denmark needs, partly in the situation we find ourselves in. In part, we also believe that we, on behalf of our three parties and all parties in the Norwegian Parliament, can make the decisions required to secure the future of Denmark, says Mette Frederiksen.
