How does that giant heat pump work? The water you flush while showering or washing dishes, for example, ends up at the sewage treatment plant. It is – logically – purified there. “And then comes the best part – for us”, says project supervisor Sander Tensen. “That water stays a little warm, even in the winter. It flows further to our large heat pumps, is heated in a certain way and that way we can extract extra heat from it.”
