These incidents are not isolated events, it now appears. For the investigation, the Inspectorate spoke to 66 respondents, mainly employees and prisoners. Nearly half of them reported dishonest behavior by employees towards detainees, which mainly involved sexually suggestive remarks. Most indicated that they had experienced or observed this themselves.
