In December, Israel got the most far-right government in its history. The country’s longest serving prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu allied with small extremist nationalist and orthodox Jewish groups.

The government is pushing for reforms, which are feared to push the country towards an authoritarian regime. Opposition to Netanyahu’s government now unites very different groups in Israel, from the right to the left.

The violence is the worst in years.
