– So damn tragic, says former teammate and friend Anders Broström to Hockey Sweden.

Frölunda received a grim message on Monday. The club’s former player Magnus Olsson has fallen asleep after a period of illness.

Friend’s words

The biggest achievement was a silver medal in 1980 and Olsson was also part of the very first JVM, which was played in Finland in 1976. The former Frölunda teammate Anders Broström fondly remembers his friend.
– For me, Magnus was a genuine teammate and human being. He started as a back but was later promoted as a left forward, which then became the so-called “Catastrophe Five”! He meant an awful lot to our success, he tells Hockey Sweden.

Broström has received the death with great sadness and sends his condolences to the immediate family.
– A thorough guy who was a great asset in every way! It’s hard to put everything into words. So damn tragic. Suffering with his loved ones!, he says in the interview.
– Rest in peace Magnus! Sometime in the future we will play together again.
