Frölunda has managed to get his dream signing – the Three Kronor Swede is returning to the SHL after a full twelve years

Frölunda’s supporters have been hoping for it for a long time.
Now it seems that the dream signing is finally complete.
And the national team player returns to the SHL again after twelve years abroad, GP reports.

Frölunda initially impressed in this year’s SM play-offs and knocked out rival Färjestad in a heated quarter-final series. But in the semi-finals it was a rematch against the future champion team Växjö Lakers.

Joel’s farewell

The exit from the spring playoffs was also the end for the “Captain of the Captains” Joel Lundqvist. The club icon has now put his skates on the shelf for good after over 1,000 games in the Frölunda jersey, but unfortunately it was a farewell for Lundqvist, who was suspended in the last game ever.

Experienced Klingberg has won World Cup gold with Tre Kronor in 2017 and two league titles with Swiss club Zug. Last season there were 18 points in 38 games in Switzerland.

Since before, Frölunda has recruited the backs Henrik Tömmernes, Max Lindroth and Isaac Heens as well as the forward Linus Öberg.
