Adamawa State Health Commissioner Felix Tangwami stated in his statement that measles was detected in more than 200 children in the Mubi region.
Tangwami stated that 19 children died due to the epidemic.
Stating that medical personnel and medicines were quickly sent to the region, Tangwami assured that children with severe infections would be referred to hospitals. (AA)
