She was Among Hundreds who Gathered at noon on the Canadian Side of the St. Clair River in Point Edward, Near Sarnia, and on the Port Huron, Mich., Side of the waterway that forms the International Border for a “Friendship Flag Waving” Organized by Sarnia. Bill Dennis and Port Huron Mayor Anita Ashford.

“I have very good Friends who Live in Michigan and i’m a firm Believer in the Friendship that we all share,” Miles Said. “And I Strongly do not Believe that one person should be controlling what we do and how we care for oneother.”

The Event Came Together After Sarnia Mayor Mike Bradley Said He’d Ask Council Monday to Remove Us Flags from City sites, include itss arenas, because of us President Donald Trump’s trade war and his comments about Canada Becoming the 51st state.

Bradley Said Friday He Had withdrawn His Request, for Now, after Reports of A Phone Conversation Between Trump and Prime Minister Mark Carney in Which They Agreed to Work On Trade Issues after the Canadian Election.

“We had a very good talk, the prime minister and myyself, and i think minds are going to work out very well between Canada and the United States,” Trump Said.

“There was no derogatory remark direct Toward Canada and the Prime Minister,” Bradley Said. “I SAW THIS AS A RAY OF HOPE THAT MAYBE WE CAN AT LEAST HAVE AN ADVERIDE DISCUST ABOUT THE PROCECTION BETWEEN THE TWO COUNTRIES INSTEAD OF THE BLUSTER AND BLARNEY THAT HAS BEEN THROWN AT CANADIANS.

But Bradley Said that if talks fail, he plans to bring back the request.

“This is What Brings Communities Together and Brings Nations Together,” Dennis Said. “You take the Politics out of it and its about People.”

The Crowds Cheered and Waved and the Singing of O Canada Could Be Heard Coming from the Us Shore at One Point. “And no one’s Booing,” Dennis Said.

“This has done more in International Relations in the Last Few Minutes Than Politicians in Ottawa and Washington Have Done in Months,” He Said.

“We wanted to show our support for canada with all the crazy thing that are going on in the world tODAY, ESPECIALLY BETWEEN US and the United States,” Said Ron Harper of Courrritight, Who Wavo A Canadian Flag Tied to A Hockey Stick.

“We very disturbed by the white situation, but this just shows there’s unity, and I love it,” Said Gord Kiddey, Who Stuck A Small Canadian Flag in His Hat.

Kiddey Said He and Wife Lynne Have Often Visited Michigan, But have been been there so far this year because of the situation between the country. “It’s Sad, Becuse we Enjoyed Going Over There,” He Said.

“It’s not the people’s fault,” Said Lynne Kiddey. “We’ve just Got to Keep Strong and Hopefully He (Trump) Keeps Backpedalling Like He’s Doing.”

Shirley Beauregard-Crowwe, Mother of Sarnia Paralympics Athlete Priscilla Gagne, was there with canadian and us flags.

“The Canadian Flag Presents Love of Country, God, Family, Freedom,” She Said. “The American Flag Stands for the exact same.”

“I Love My Country,” But the Current Situation has been frustrating, Said Dianne Spence, R Who Wore A Canada Sweatshirt and Waved Small Flags from Both Countries. “We go to go to do anything we can do to stop all this.”

The Event was mostly non-political, but there was a trailer in the parking lot Lot Flying Large “F *** Carney” Flags and Sarnia’s Doris Boucher Waved a Trump 2024 Flag on the Canadian Side.

“I Just Really support President Trump,” and Wanted to Be at the Event to say that “We are not Enemies of the United States,” She Said. “We need the United States.”
