Frida Karlsson’s success – wins the mass start after a Swedish-Finnish sprint battle

Frida Karlsson took revenge after double eleventh places in the World Cup in Canmore, Canada.

In the ladies’ 20 kilometer mass start, Karlsson was the fastest of all.

On the third lap, the field was stretched out and a top cluster was created, with many of the Swedes still in good positions.

On the fifth lap, it was Frida Karlsson and Ebba Andersson who remained in the top group.

In the end, it was only Karlsson left against the Finnish Kerttu Niskanen.

After a long and tough duel, Karlsson was the strongest at the end and sprinted to victory.

Ebba Andersson finished fifth, Jonna Sundling eighth, Linn Svahn ninth and Moa Ilar 23rd.

Overall World Cup leader Jessie Diggins had a tough time, finishing in tenth place.
