Frida Karlsson’s strong confession about the nasty moment – now admits herself: “It’s scary”

Frida Karlsson is one of the big stars of Swedish skiing.
She has also become known for pushing her body to the max.
But now the 23-year-old comes with a strong confession about himself.

Last season was extremely successful too Frida Karlsson who won four WC medals in Slovenian Planica. In addition, the cross-country skier impressed greatly at the World Cup during the season and the big moment during the winter was of course the Tour de Ski success.

Karlsson’s success

As the second Swede ever, Karlsson managed to do just that Charlotte Kalla 2008 and win the overall victory on the mini tour. But the victory also came to highly dramatic and nasty scenes when the 23-year-old collapsed at the finish line.

Now she herself opens up about the collapse that made the Swedish people hold their breath.
– It’s a bit scary, but somewhere I think it becomes a physical stress, she says in an interview with SVT Sport.
– It is in a context where I have become very tired and I don’t know if I would have made it to the finish line if it had been a different competition. It was still black the last bit and I can’t really explain that.

Frida admits

Frida Karlsson then describes the feeling in more detail and what actually happens inside her, see the video below.
– It becomes like a panic in the body. At first you don’t feel the legs and then it comes up and finally there is a lack of oxygen in the brain. You feel that something is about to happen, but right there and then you may not be fully aware of it, she says in the interview.

The Swedish ski star has suffered several collapses so far during his career and has become known for pushing his body to the max. It both worries and gives her an extra asset as a cross-country skier.
– It’s a factor that I think endurance athletes need and it allows me to push myself beyond my limits. I like to win and win over myself. I don’t think it’s dangerous because I’ve been through it before and recovered well, says Frida to the TV channel, see the interview below.
– I only had focus over the finish line, that was like the only thing. It had to cost whatever it wanted, a little grand.
