Frida Karlsson won the prestige duel against Ebba Andersson.
But was shocked by the unexpected first prize after the finish.
– I intend to leave it here when I go home, says Frida to Expressen.

Andersson took home Friday’s distance race, but Karlsson would get revenge directly on Saturday by winning the sprint final ahead of both Martha Rosenberg and national team colleague Ebba.
– It’s crazy fun! I feel that I hadn’t prepared for these competitions, but when you’re here, it’s kind of important, says Frida to Expressen about the prestigious victory.

After the first race, marzipan cakes were handed out to the trio on the podium and then Frida got a shock when she won the sprint final. And surströmming was handed out at the award ceremony.
– Yes, it’s really like they raised the bar with cake and then it plummeted with sour strömming now, she says to the evening newspaper.
