Frida Karlsson missed the Tour de Ski due to her foot injury.
Now she finally got to meet her friend Linn Svahn again – something that was documented on Instagram.
“Reunited,” writes Karlsson in a story.
It has been a tough start to the season for the Swedish women’s racers at the World Cup. It didn’t go much better in the Tour de Ski, where only three girls completed the entire tour: Lynn Svahn, Ebba Andersson and Moa Ilar.
New news about Frida Karlsson
One who was forced to sit out the entire tour due to an injury was Frida Karlsson. She had problems with her foot shortly before the World Cup started and many wondered if she would even be able to compete before the WC in February. After a few weeks of rehabilitation, she was surprisingly in the premiere in Ruka, and she even won there before Therese Johaug.

But then the setback came and Frida could neither run the World Cup in Davos nor start the tour. She had to take a short break over Christmas and New Year. The 25-year-old is looking forward to next weekend’s competitions in French Les Rousses (January 17-19).
– It has been good lately. I trained with her over Christmas. We’ve been on the treadmill a lot and she’s been very, very strong. I don’t feel any stress for her physical part, says Frida’s personal trainer Per Nilsson to the Norwegian newspaper VG.

The big goal for the season is of course to participate and challenge for medals, preferably gold, at the WC. This applies to both Svahn and Karlsson. The upload is now in full swing. On Instagram, you can now see that the two have been training together for the first time in a long time.

Frida has posted two pictures on Instagram Stories where she shows how she hangs out and goes skiing with Svahn. Since the latter was on the Tour de Ski, the two have obviously not had time to see each other for a couple of weeks. They seem very happy to be together again now. Obviously, they have a nice relationship and they like to spend time together.
“Reunited”, she writes and tags Linn Svahn in Edsåsdalen, south of Åre.
How lovely to see Frida and Linn together again! Nice pictures. It’s nice that you like to hang out even in your free time and not just when you train with the national team.
