It was a great success for Frida Karlsson when on Tuesday she took home the victory by far in 10 kilometers classic style.
During Wednesday, however, it became tougher – where the Swede had to show his colors.
But after a solid ride on the last lap, she took her second win in two days.
Tour de Ski rolls on in Germany and Oberstdorf, and the Swedish star and favorite Frida Karlsson seems by all accounts to be enjoying himself quite well. The 23-year-old from Sollefteå took home the victory in superior style on Tuesday, and when it was time for the hunt to start on Wednesday afternoon, she thus went out on the track first of all. Also adorned with the yellow leader’s vest.
Karlsson caught up
And she did it with aplomb. Karlsson went out hard in the track and immediately extended the lead against, above all, the following trio consisting of Krista Pärmäkoski, Anne Kjersti Kalvå and Tiril Udnes Weng.

But the chasing trio crept closer, which was somewhat expected given how it looked during the men’s race earlier in the day on the exact same course. And in the end they also caught up, and Frida Karlsson tactically placed herself behind Krista Pärmäkoski, who had to go up and pull to the front of the field.

Extends the line
The other riders further back in the field ended up far behind, and in the end it was mostly about the four at the front. But somewhat unexpectedly, both Anne Kjersti Kalvå and Tiril Udnes Weng, who are the two skaters who are mainly chasing Frida Karlsson in the overall summary, could not keep up. This set the stage for a sprint duel between Frida Karlsson and Krista Pärmäkoski.

But on the last lap, Karlsson drove away from Pärmäkoski in a big way, and took the second victory in two days.
– You just have to lift your hat, what a display! exclaims commentator Per Forsberg in Viaplay’s broadcast.
The two Norwegians in Kalvå and Weng couldn’t take it and dropped out completely, and thus Frida Karlsson extends her lead in the overall, which gives her an excellent starting position for the three final stages of the tour which take place in Italy and Val di Fiemme.
