Frida Karlsson’s gesture that just about everyone loves – suddenly interrupted her hard training for the finest reason: “Feels important”

She is in intensive training for the coming season.
But on Sunday, Frida Karlsson did something different – for the finest reason.
It feels important to be able to stand up, says Karlsson to Östersunds-Posten.

Oliver Eriksson is making a proper trip this summer. He is going from Kiruna to Ystad, which is a long journey regardless of the means of transport. But the most remarkable thing is that he does it via inlines(!), and the reason is truly magical.

Frida’s nice gesture

Eriksson is doing it to collect money for Börje Salming’s ALS foundation, and it is under the name “Rulla för ALS” that he is making the real trip this summer. Each stage he rides between seven and 15 miles on his roller skates, but on Sunday he was joined in the form of none other than Frida Karlsson.

On Sunday, it was a stretch between Östersund and Åsarna that applied to Oliver Eriksson, and to spread the fine initiative, and to support in the way she can, Frida Karlsson chose to ride the seven miles, but via roller skis. Also on the trip on Sunday was Pelle Holmström, actor who was in the TV series “Börje – the Journey of a Legend”.

“It feels important”

For Frida Karlsson, it was not a major sacrifice, as the seven miles were not too different from what she usually does during one of her training sessions.

– It’s perfect for me, it’s about the same speed I train at when I do low-intensity sessions. Then being able to mix benefit with pleasure suits me well, says Frida Karlsson to Östersunds-Posten.

Oliver Eriksson’s goal is to collect a total of SEK 500,000 during his trip through Sweden, with all money going to Salming’s ALS foundation. Right now SEK 170,000 has been collected, and for Frida Karlsson it was obvious to stand up.

– It takes so little and can still make such a difference. It feels important to be able to stand up, says Karlsson.
