Frida Karlsson’s criticism – now reveals the true thoughts about the shock change in the World Cup: “Is it a joke?

A sudden change in the World Cup that no one expected.
Frida Karlsson’s first reaction was strong.
– Is it a joke?, says the star.

The world elite in cross-country skiing has made it to North America, where competitions in the USA and Canada await in the next week. The idea was that the mini-tour would begin with a 10 kilometer individual start in Canmore, Canada, on Friday. But it won’t be like that.

The sudden change

In fact, it will be a completely different competition, and the announcement will come with just the day to start. The reason is that Fis, the International Ski Federation, did not receive the right equipment needed for the timing required for an individual start. Instead, it becomes something that becomes easier to measure purely in terms of time, i.e. mass start.

The race will also, due to the change, be run for 15 kilometers. It will therefore be a mass start instead of an individual start, and five kilometers longer. Something that no one saw coming, especially not Ebba Andersson.

– It came like a bolt from the blue, says Ebba Andersson to TT.

“Is it a joke?”

Frida Karlsson says that she was charged to run an individual start, and this changes the conditions considerably.

– The first thought was just, “is it a joke?” It’s sad, but there’s nothing you can do about it, says the star, who is in dream form ahead of the competitions.

But not everyone found it boring. Calle Halfvarsson believes that he couldn’t care less, and that it rather benefits him.

– I’m probably one of those who think it was good that it was a mass start. Now it turned out as it turned out, for me it doesn’t matter. I like to ride a mass start, says Calle Halfvarsson.
