Many have speculated about it ever since the Norwegian ski queen Therese Johaug put the skis on the shelf in 2022. This weekend all the rumors came true when the 35-year-old once again put on the number tag and set off on the ski track again.
Johaug back
The Norwegian legend made his long-awaited competitive debut during the 17 kilometer long race “Engadin Frauenlauf” in Switzerland. And Johaug really showed that she still holds the class by completely outclassing everyone and winning by a full three minute margin down to second.

In connection with the race, the 35-year-old also gave new information about the plans to make a comeback to the Ski World Championships on home ground in Trondheim in 2025.
– I want and hope to be there, Johaug told the organizer.
Opens for WC
It is above all the women’s very first five-mile race in a championship that entices with a return to the ski WC again. But it is also a challenge to start an elite career again, given that Johaug recently became a mother for the first time in her life.

She herself has opened up about the difficulties of being away from her daughter Christine. It will be decisive for whether Johaug – with four Olympic golds, fourteen World Cup golds and 78 World Cup victories in his career – is on the starting line in the World Cup.

Also Moa Lundgren has become convinced that Therese Johaug is back again for the WC in Trondheim.
