Now Frida Karlsson reveals the unexpected drama in the bajama.
– Well, it wasn’t that nice…, she says to Expressen’s “Skidsnack”.
Ski WC 2023 in Planica has been a great success so far Frida Karlsson who won two consecutive WC silver medals in skiathlon and 10 km freestyle. But the Swede is still chasing that coveted WC gold, which could be her very first individual WC gold in her career.
Frida’s drama
Two races remain for Karlsson in the form of the big relay and the closing three-mile. So far, the ski WC has been highly dramatic and the Swede has made up with both his teammates Ebba Andersson and the American Jessie Diggins in gold duels.

But in the middle of the skiing World Cup, Frida also reveals a completely different drama that she has been exposed to. Namely the one that took place inside a bajamaja(!).

The Bajamaja Miss
In an interview with SportExpress’ TV program “Skidsnack”, Frida Karlsson reveals the remarkable event, or possibly the trauma, that occurred during the Tour de Ski. The 23-year-old took home the overall victory, but that’s not the only thing that became memorable from that mini-tour.

Because during a customary visit to the toilet in a bajamaja on display, the worst thing imaginable happened when the Swede accidentally dropped her pink glove in the hole.
– It probably went down after I did my part, haha. Well, there was never any thought of fishing it out. It was on Friday and then on Sunday you could still see it if you looked down, she admits in the interview.

Karlsson’s words
Karlsson’s glove in the bajama then became a real talking point among the skaters on site and the Norwegian rival Tiril Udnes Weng gladly took the opportunity with a slip into Swedish.
– Tiril came out and asked if I “would get my glove or not?”. Yes, it was after two days of “work” that you could glimpse something pink down there, says Frida.
– Well, it didn’t look very nice…
