Then Frida Karlsson got a strict pressure on her from the national team.

Sweden and Norway are the big favorites when the women’s WC relay is decided on Thursday. Sweden has won a total of eight medals on the women’s side so far, three of which are gold, and are giant favourites, and could really have fielded any number of skaters and still been tipped for gold.
Revealing the compulsion
And already in advance, there has, as usual, been a real psychological war between Sweden and Norway. But from Sweden’s side, it has been a little more cautious than usual, and there is a reason for that. Frida Karlsson now reveals a strict demand from the national team on her, which forced her to change her approach to the race.
Frida Karlsson is usually a skater who just honks and drives – even before races. But now she is forced to keep a lower profile.
– I have been told that I must keep a low profile, we must be humble before the relay, says Karlsson to VG.
She continues:
– It’s not so good for me… but maybe the team doesn’t want the pressure I put on them last time.

“Was a hit”
What Frida Karlsson is referring to is her statement before the relay during the last WC. Karlsson said that all of Sweden should stop the clock and stay with what they are doing in order for Sweden to take another gold. Instead, it was a serious election miss, and a fiasco-like sixth place.
– It was a blast, says Karlsson.
Ebba Andersson also confirms that the national team gave Frida a gag before the race.
– Last time she asked for all the trains to stop during the relay, but now we just say: “Honk and run!” Because we know how much needs to be done for us to win, says Andersson.
