Frida Karlsson is singled out by her national team colleagues: “Naughtiest”

Frida Karlsson is singled out by her national team colleagues

Frida Karlsson is a popular Swedish winter athlete. With numerous successes, she can be classified as one of the world’s best cross-country skiers.

Frida Karlsson has had an eventful pre-season

At the time of writing, the winter sports season is just around the corner. But how has Karlsson’s pre-season actually looked?

The national ski team gathered for a high-altitude camp in the Italian alpine village of Lavazé. The camp began chaotically, to say the least, with unwelcome weather. She told about the trip to The Express.

– The first week we sat outside and had breakfast in 20 degree heat and could train in sports tops and shorts. Then there were three undergarments and cover clothes. So clearly a complete turnaround.

She goes on to say:

– Everyone came in and laughed. You could hear screams in the shower because people were standing and thawing their hands. It was terrible. But now we have started to get used to it.

The pre-season then took another turn in the negative direction. Karlsson suffered an injury which will mean she misses the start of the season.

What will the season actually look like? And which competitions are the highlights?

As usual, the season will be accompanied by the World Cup. The World Cup starts in November and lasts until March. In the World Cup, you ride both longer and shorter distances – the position of each competition is counted and affects the amount of points you get, which then leads to a final position when the season is summed up.

In December and January, the Tour de Ski takes place in various ski resorts in Switzerland, Germany and Italy.

What most people look forward to the most is the World Championships. It takes place between February 24 and March 5 in Trondheim, Norway.

On the Instagram account @skiteamswexc a video was shared where parts of the national ski team had to answer questions sent in by followers.

When asked who has the cleanest and messiest room, the answer was crystal clear.

Emma Ribom be the first to have your say:

– Most order, I would say, Moa Ilar. The messiest might actually be Frida Karlsson.

It is a clear theme in the responses, and it is confirmed when Johanna Hagström can answer the same question:

– Ilar has the cleanest rooms. And Frida is probably the messiest, she says.
