Frida Karlsson suffered a tough setback recently.
But now comes the big turn for the Swede.
The 25-year-old can make a record-breaking comeback on the ski slopes.
Before the new ski season, it was not in the planning to Frida Karlsson was going to Tenerife at the same time as her teammates were stepping on snow. But an overuse injury in the left foot came at the very worst with just a few weeks left until the season opener.
Turnaround for Frida
Karlsson’s entire planning was overturned and he went to the Spanish paradise island to receive important rehabilitation. It was then speculated that the start of the season was threatened to the highest degree and the concern grew for the 25-year-old.

But now comes the huge turnaround for the Swede ahead of the ski season, which is fast approaching. Frida herself reveals that she is aiming for a record-breaking comeback on the ski slopes.
– It is difficult to make a plan when you have an injury, you have to be both flexible and humble. But my hope is to run one of the races in “Bruks”, she admits to Tidningen Ångermanland.
– We are aiming for that anyway. But I certainly won’t do anything stupid and risk anything for the season.
Karlsson goes home
The Swedish premiere in Bruksvallarna is already next weekend and all the blue and yellow national team skaters will gather to sharpen their form for the World Cup premiere in Ruka later in November. And the training in Tenerife has really paid off for Frida Karlsson.
– A lot of progress has been made. I have started incorporating regular exercise again. But it is important to find a good balance so that I stay on the right side, she tells the local newspaper.
– We found this option in Tenerife and with hindsight it turned out really well I would say.

The Swedish skiing star has spent four weeks in Tenerife and built up his body again with cycling and roller skiing. Now she is looking forward to coming home to Sweden and taking on real skiing.
– Now I hope that my body holds up and that I can walk on snow as soon as possible. I’m so longing for it, she says in the interview.
