Frida Karlsson and William Poromaa have broken up.
But the decision was made a long time ago.
– We didn’t want to go out with it, says Frida Karlsson to Aftonbladet.
Frida Karlsson and William Poromaa have long been one of sports Sweden’s big star couples. When Frida Karlsson broke through with a bang, everyone immediately noticed that her partner also happened to be a super talent in cross-country skiing, and it didn’t take long before the breakthrough came.
“Having broken up”
William Poromaa recently became the first Swedish WC medalist on the men’s side in six years, and Frida Karlsson is also coming off a WC that gave her four medals. But right after the World Cup came the most shocking news. It was yesterday that Expressen came out with the news that the star couple had parted ways.
Karlsson and Poromaa have lived in different places for the past year – Frida in Östersund and William in Sundsvall – and on Monday the news came that the couple had broken up.
– But we are still very good friends, said Frida Karlsson to the evening newspaper.

The decisive decision: “Has felt strange””
But the fact is that the announcement is far from fresh. Now the couple reveals that the decision was made already last autumn, but that they chose to keep it from the public until after the WC, in order to be able to put all the focus on the championship.
– People have received questions about Wille and it has felt a little strange to talk about. But nothing has happened and we are good friends. I wish him every success anyway, says Frida Karlsson to Aftonbladet.
William Poromaa says that single life is “going well”, and Frida Karlsson also says that her phone has been buzzing since the news came.
– Yes, since the news was released, haha. I live life as a single person, she says.
