Therese Johaug resigned when she announced after last year’s ski season that her career was over.
But despite that, the Norwegian still remains relevant.
Because when the Swedish national team arrived in Lillehammer on Wednesday, there was a gift waiting for them from Johaug.
After a long and successful career decided Therese Johaug to put the skis on the shelf after last year’s season. Four Olympic golds and 14 World Cup golds are among many other things on the Norwegian’s track record – which has made her one of the absolute best.
Johaug’s gift
But even though his career is now over, Johaug has not been idle. In the fall of 2022, her book “The whole story” was released, which deals with her career. A book that Frida Karlsson and Ebba Andersson now has in his possession.

Because when the Swedish national team arrived in Lillehammer on Wednesday, a gift from Therese Johaug was waiting for Karlsson and Andersson – in the form of a copy of each book.
– It wasn’t her who brought it personally and handed it over… I almost think she could have done that. But she has a long history, because it was very thick. Really heavy book, says Frida Karlsson to Aftonbladet.

“Can put it in the toilet”
Will Frida Karlsson read the book then?
– Yes. I get to put it on the toilet so I can read when I sit down for long periods, haha. Otherwise, maybe I’m not the one who usually reads so many books. But it was nice, really cool. She has been through a lot.

Ebba Andersson announces that she will also read the book eventually, and at the same time reveals that there was a greeting from Therese Johaug inside the book.
– It was like a welcome present when we arrived at the hotel yesterday. I have managed to open it and see her greeting, which she had there. I haven’t had time to do more than that. But I’m a little too curious not to read it. In time I will read it.
– Now I haven’t fully memorized it, don’t know if it says more about me or the greeting. But something about “Hope all is well!”.
