French snowboarder Maxime Montaggioni won gold in banked slalom (UL category) on Friday March 11 at the Paralympic Winter Games in Beijing. On the Genting snow park, the 32-year-old from Nice beat the Chinese Ji Lijia and Zhu Yonggang. A former taekwondo specialist, born without a right forearm, Maxime Montaggioni was already multiple snowboarding world champion. There he obtained the first Paralympic title of his career.
