Freestyle: Olympic champion Jakara Anthony broke his collarbone in Idre: “Unfortunately I had a crash”

Jakara has opened the season in the best way. She was second in the World Cup premiere in Ruka last weekend and won in Idre last Friday. Then she suffered the accident in Idres on icy slopes.

“Unfortunately, I had a crash in Idre Fjäll during the hump course training last Saturday. When you hit your shoulder on an icy track, there can be some injuries,” she writes on Instagram from a hospital bed in Oslo where she was operated on.

Long Christmas break for the tour

However, she did not miss the parallel hump race in Idre later on Saturday as it was canceled due to fog. The next weekend’s competitions in Alpe d’Huez are also canceled – this due to a lack of snow.

There will also be no competition in Bakuriani, Georgia, December 20-21 for 26-year-old Anthony, who will be cheering on the competitors in front of the computer/television at home in Australia.

After the competition in Georgia, there is a little over a month’s break in the World Cup until the competitions in Waterville, USA, January 24-25.
