Joliba TV News, The Paalga Observer, France 24, the Federation of African Journalists, RFI, Omega Media, Le Monde, Wakat Sera, Liberation… Thirty African and international organizations and media are mobilizing, on May 3, in favor of the press freedom in Mali and Burkina Faso. They challenge the authorities of these two countries and the international community on the need to put an end to the pressures and threats to which national and foreign journalists are victims in their respective territories. They call on the two transitional governments to respect their countries’ international commitments in the area of freedom of expression, in particular the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights.
