For the second year in a row, this year with all Riksdag parties represented, the Frihamnsdagarna started. It takes place between Thursday and Saturday at Hisingen in Gothenburg.
– It feels great fun, the second time we drive. The reason it has become bigger is that it is an election year, but we have also been able to reach more people, says Ali Tabrizi, project manager for the event.
School class visiting
He sees the benefit of a meeting place between the residents and representatives from politics, organizations and the city. Especially in Gothenburg, where trust in local democracy is lower than in other western Swedish municipalities.
One of the visitors on site is 18-year-old Amie Mbye, she has come there with her school class.
“Don’t bother us”
– We were tasked with listening to the parties. I’m not going to single everyone out, but most people my age, we don’t care that much, we think it doesn’t affect us that much.
How do politicians capture your first-time voters, do you think?
– Good answers to the questions, not so difficult words, sometimes the party leaders can use words that we younger people don’t really understand. I want to vote for a party that likes me as a young person, a school student and a woman. How they make schooling better, homework help, CSN and so on.
