The high risk of bird flu is over for this time, according to the Swedish Agency for Agriculture.

This means that the high-risk area, which applied in large parts of southern Sweden since November 16, is removed and that hens and other domestic birds can be released into the open again from Tuesday.

The virus is still present in wild birds, warns the Swedish Agency for Agriculture. Now, however, most of the migratory birds have arrived, while the sun and heat are slowing down the spread of infection, the authority writes on its website.
