The municipality of Sundsvall has a need for 536 summer substitutes in the health and care administration for this year’s summer, and around 300 are ready. There are some difficulties in getting staff for home care where a driver’s license is required. If the permanent staff moves their holiday outside the holiday period, they receive SEK 10,000 per week in compensation.
Before next summer, Sundsvall municipality hopes to be able to attract staff from other parts of the country by offering free accommodation in Mitthem’s student housing in Sundsvall. The rent would be paid by the health and care administration.
