Although like other major brands (Alfa Romeo, Bentley, Citroën, Ferrari, Fiat, Kia, Nissan, Peugeot, Suzuki, You’re here, Toyota, Volvo …), Renault chose not to display its presence with an official stand, the manufacturer nevertheless made the trip to Frankfurt to show its Captur E-Tech Plug-in, the first model hybrid rechargeable marketed by the group.

Unveiled last July, this declination of SUV combines a 1.6-liter petrol engine with two electric motors and a 9.8 kWh battery. Renault announces a autonomy 45 kilometers in electric mode up to 135 km / h in mixed use (WLTP) and about 65 km in urban use. Designed from the new CMF-B platform used for the Clio 5 and the new Nissan Juke, this second generation of the Captur goes upmarket with a more opulent interior finish and more muscular lines. Renault has still not communicated on the price of this hybrid version which will be marketed from 2020.
