After having ruled out the NFP option for the nomination of the future Prime Minister, the French President is leading a new round of discussions in the coming days, this time excluding LFI and the RN, and broadening the discussions to “personalities distinguished by their service to the State and the Republic”. With this second round, Emmanuel Macron still hopes to rally the socialists or some of them to a “broad and solid” coalition. The opportunity exists. Several socialist voices are speaking out to break with LFI and resume dialogue with the Élysée, and made this known during a national office this Tuesday.
