A collective of Muslim players, Les hijabeuses, had seized the Council of State to have the regulations of the French Football Federation which prohibits any wearing of a sign or outfit showing a political, philosophical, religious or trade union affiliation canceled. Since the hearing on Monday June 26, and as every time the veil is discussed in France, the debate has quickly overflowed from the simple question of law.
