(Finance) – There are 34 ministers appointed this evening in new French government of Prime Minister Francois Bayrou. A perfectly equal government, the forty-sixth of the Fifth Republic, with 17 male and female ministers. Announcing the list of new members of the executive after ten days of complex negotiations, the Secretary General of the Elysée, Alexi Kohlerrevealed the date of the first council of ministers, set for January 3 at 10 am.
“I am very proud of the team we present this evening. An expert team to reconcile and rebuild trust with all the French people” he declared Bayrou in a post on X, after the announcement of the government team at the Elysée.
The confirmed ministers: Bruno RetailleauMinister of the Interior; Jean-Noel Barrot, Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs; Sébastien Lecornu, Minister of the Armed Forces; Rachida DatiMinister of Culture; Geneviève DarrieussecqMinister of Health and Access to Care; Annie GenevardMinister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty; Laurent Saint-Martin, Minister responsible for the budget and public accounts; Agnès Pannier-Runacher, Minister of Ecological Transition; Catherine VautrinMinister of Labor.
