Islam is the second largest religion in France. However, many French people of Muslim faith have difficulty carrying out their worship in good conditions. And for good reason, there are only 2,600 mosques and prayer rooms in the country for more than 5.4 million Muslims. The cramped conditions of mosques, particularly those in the capital, do not allow the faithful to be accommodated in good conditions.
