(Finance) – Inflation confirmed to have increased in France in July. According to theNational Statistical Institute French (INSEE), inflation increased by 2.3% on a year-on-year basis, compared to +2.2% in the previous month and as expected in the preliminary estimate.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices recorded an increase of 0.2%, above the +0.1% indicated in the first reading and recorded in the previous month.
The harmonised data, a measure used by the ECBrecorded a positive variation of 2.7% on an annual basis, after the +2.5% of June and the +2.6% of the preliminary estimate, while on a monthly basis the harmonized inflation shows a variation equal to +0.2% as in the previous month and against the +0.1% of the preliminary estimate.
