(Finance) – Inflation confirmed in France on the rise in March. According to theFrench National Statistical Institute (INSEE)inflation increased by 4.5% on a trend basis, as in the preliminary estimate and up compared to + 3.6% in February (revised figure from + 4.5%).
On a monthly basis, consumer prices recorded an increase of 1.4%, against + 0.8% the previous month.
The harmonized data, a measure used by the ECBrecorded a positive change of 5.1% on an annual basis, achieving the consensus, while on a monthly basis harmonized inflation shows an increase of 1.6% as estimated by the market.
