France in Seine Saint Denis teachers demand an emergency plan for education

Teachers demonstrate this Tuesday, April 2. They are still demanding better salaries and are opposed to the “clash of knowledge” desired by the government. North of Paris, in Seine-Saint-Denis, teachers and their students have been mobilized for five weeks. Dilapidated establishments, overcrowded classes, lack of staff… Seine-Saint-Denis is largely forgotten in terms of investments in education, they say. They are demanding an emergency plan for the youngest and poorest department in mainland France.

The entrance to the Blaise-Cendrars high school, cited in the report where the high school students put together a video published on TikTok to denounce their conditions.  A video that has 3 million views.
