Jean-Louis Debré, close to former president Jacques Chirac and former president of the National Assembly and the Constitutional Council, died at the age of 80, his family said to LCI, and the president of the National Assembly, Yaël Braun-Pivet. The son of Michel Debré, former Prime Minister of Charles de Gaulle, was notably an investigating judge, Minister of the Interior from 1995 to 1997 in the government of Alain Juppé, and was for twenty years deputy of Eure before directing the Assembly after the re -election of Jacques Chirac in 2002.
