(Finance) – In February 2023 the current account balance France showed a deficit of 3.0 billion euros, down on January’s deficit of 3.3 billion euros (revised from a preliminary figure of -3.6). This was revealed by the Banque de France. Analysts had expected a deficit of 3.2 billion euros.
At the same time, the French Customs Office provided the data of the trade balance, which closes February with a negative balance of 9.9 billion against -12.5 billion in the previous month (data revised from a preliminary figure of -12.9). Analysts’ estimates were for a red declining to 11.8 billion.
