Monday January 6, 2025, the 44 local stations of the Radio France group changed their name. They were called France Bleu and became “here”. Céline Pigalle, director of the network of these radio stations, is the guest of The media workshop to explain the issues behind this renaming, in particular the promise of increased proximity.
During these 30 minutes of interview, Celine Pigalle explains that the radio stations of the “here” network rely on “ two fundamental things : THE local and the proximity », which were already the DNA of France Bleu.
“ Local means telling those who listen to us what is happening where they are and that they are not necessarily aware of on national broadcasts. », specifies the one who is the director of the “ici” network but also deputy editorial director in charge of information and proximity. “ And then there are all the logics of proximity and proximity, it is rather something emotional and it is rather something everyday. It’s that we take care of the issues of everyone’s lives, not necessarily the major issues of the future of the world, but all the things you need, that you need to know to live well and possibly to live better. . »
It is also a question of audiences of France Bleu (which brings together nearly 2.7 million daily listeners, according to the latest figures from Médiamétrie, published on January 9), synergies with France 3 and in particular the common mornings, and the importance of the information offer of the public service audiovisual.
