In France, a first high security prison bringing together the 100 most dangerous drug traffickers will see the light of day. The announcement was made Thursday January 23 by the Minister of Justice, Gérald Darmanin. Transfers will begin in March and the renovated establishment will be fully operational by July 31, 2025. Currently, 17,000 people are detained for acts related to drug trafficking and organized crime in France.
