The prosecutor expects that the man in his 40s with gang connections who was arrested in Serbia will be extradited to Sweden in the spring, P4 Skaraborg reports.

The man is suspected of having controlled an extensive drug trade in Sweden from abroad and was arrested in Serbia in October in cooperation between Swedish and Serbian police. He is charged in Sweden with serious and particularly serious drug offences, serious weapons offenses and serious offenses against the law against explosive and flammable goods.

The man, who according to media reports is connected to the criminal network Foxtrot, has so far refused extradition, which means that it is taking time, says prosecutor Johanna Kolga.

– We have no signs that anything has been fixed or that they have requested additions, but it is the course of the process where decisions must gain legal force before he can then be extradited.

The man denies any wrongdoing.
