Four women accuse the British comedian-actor Russell Brand for rape and sexual and emotional abuse during the years 2006-2013, when the star was at the height of his fame.

Allegations of abuse were made in a joint broadcast by The Sunday Times, The Times and Channel 4’s investigative journalism program Dispatches in the report.

Brand has dismissed the accusations, calling them “aggressive attacks”.

One woman who made the accusation says she was 16 years old when she started a relationship with Brandi, who was 31 at the time. According to another woman, Brand raped her at his home in Los Angeles.

Brand has worked as a comedian and presenter, among other things. He has become known for his provocative style. In the early 2000s, he was fired from the MTV music channel after showing up to work the day after the WTC attacks to Osama bin Laden dressed up. Later, he admitted that he was under the influence of drugs, says BBC.

Brand has also become known to the general public for being married to an American pop star Kate Perry’s with in 2010-2012.

The brand has also been active on social media. For example, he has published videos about the corona, which have been considered to at least flirt with conspiracy theories.
