The 26-year-old controlled his underlings from Spain – and planned to send a murder squad to eliminate the rivals in Sundsvall.

Now four men connected to the Foxtrot network are charged with, among other things, inciting attempted murder, serious drug offenses and several serious weapons offences.

– This has caused quite a stir in Kalmar, I can say, says prosecutor Johan Henningsson during an ongoing press conference in Kalmar.

On the surface, it looked like a local conflict between rival networks in Kalmar, which originates in an attempted murder outside the Norrliden area.

– In the fall of 2023, new events occur in Kalmar that generate new evidence – a shooting on December 18 and then preparation for murder, Johan Henningsson continues.

– Those events give us new evidence, new entrances and new people.

When the police begin to unravel the tangle, a connection to the so-called Foxtrot network emerges, which is behind a series of shootings and explosions around the whole country in recent years.

Now four men between the ages of 20 and 26 are being prosecuted – of which the latter, according to the investigation, controlled the business from Spain. It is about everything from weapons crimes and drug crimes to a murder order that the 26-year-old wanted to stage in Sundsvall.

FACTS Conflict between Foxtrot and Dalen

A large part of the shootings and explosions that took place in the Stockholm region during especially the first half of 2023 are linked by the police to a conflict between the so-called Foxtrot and Dalen networks.

The conflict has mainly concerned claims on the drug market in Stockholm and Sundsvall. In addition, according to the police, the conflict is driven by a desire to avenge previous acts of violence.

The conflict intensified at the end of 2022 and has resulted in around 40 acts of violence until April this year.
