– In some of the trucks the fire is fully developed, but in the others it is burning a little less. The threat right now is that it can spread further, says Viktoria Björkman, alarm operator at the Security and Alarm Center in Kalmar at around 10 p.m.
The rescue service is on site with several vehicles and the extinguishing work is expected to continue during the night until Sunday.
It is unknown if anyone is injured according to the police, who are on the scene to assist the emergency services. The police also do not know how the fire started.
– It is too early to say. We will investigate the scene when everything is extinguished and possibly bring technicians there, says Rickard Lundqvist, press spokesperson at the police command center.
At 11 p.m., the police wrote on their website that the fire is out.
