Four tax collections arrive in December here are the dates

Several tax deadlines arrive in December and concern millions of French people.

Watch out for unpleasant surprises! Many French people may have forgotten it, but in a few days, an unsavory note will appear on a few million bank accounts. And maybe even several. Its title: “DGFIP levy”. A few days before Christmas, this is one or more additional expenses that should not be overlooked and taken into account in your end-of-year budget. The sum can be substantial, so be careful not to find yourself in the red because you are in trouble.

Because the month of December isn’t just about presents under the tree and sumptuous family meals. It is also the month of several tax payments. During the last weeks of the year, no less than four separate withdrawals were made by the Public Treasury. Several million taxpayers will have to pay.

First of all, and this is the main levy that arrives, the General Directorate of Public Finances will recover at least 75 euros from the accounts of several million French people. This is the final income tax deduction. This concerns people who owed more than 300 euros to the tax authorities. In fact, from this amount, the payment was spread out in four installments, between September and December. The collection will take place on December 27. When contacted, the DGFiP was not able to indicate the exact number of taxpayers that this represents.

Previously, several million owners will have to pay. Firstly, because of the latest property tax levy. For some, whose balance was high, it was automatically split into two payments: one in November, the other in December. Here again, the tax authorities have not revealed the number of French people concerned, but the payment date is recorded: Monday December 16.

In addition, a little more than 3 million French people will also have to go to the cash register to pay a bill of on average 1,000 euros to the Public Treasury. On Saturday, December 21, the housing tax will be collected, for which owners of second homes are liable. But that’s not all.

Owners who have a residence other than their main residence, which is not furnished and for which they do not declare use for the same period (vacation for example), are liable for another tax, higher than the housing tax. : the tax on vacant housing or the housing tax on vacant housing. This is not combined with the traditional housing tax. She is independent and will have to be paid, again, before December 21.
