Four leaders of IS were among a total of 14 people from the terrorist sect who were killed in a US raid in Iraq in August, the US military command for the Middle East, Centcom, said in a post on X.
According to Centcom, three of the leaders were in various ways responsible for IS operations in Iraq, while the fourth oversaw the organization’s technology development.
The American raid took place on August 29 and was carried out in collaboration with the Iraqi security services.
